Major-Leagues.com is interested in finding out inter-sport trends related to the four Major Sports Leagues and their participating cities. A couple of pioneering websites have tackled this question in different ways.
The Donovan Index ranks two kinds of cities; Division I cities participate in two or more Major Sports Leagues while Division II cities participate in only one Major Sports League. As a city wins a sports championship, that city earns points that then is compared to other cities creating the index. Its a great idea that deserves some attention.
